The Nelson Garrettsville Community Cupboard (NGCC) is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization. Founded in 2012, the NGCC has been working to end food insecurity within our community for 9 years.
The NGCC provides monthly food distribution to hundreds of families in our community. Many never imagined that they would need a pantry. Our volunteers hear their stories and their thanks - so we know that your donations make an immediate positive and personal difference. While some of our food and personal care items are obtained through our partnership with the Akron Canton Regional Food Bank, the majority come from donations made within our community.

Committing to a $5.00/mo. sponsorship will help provide about 240 meals to families in need each year. Your recurring donation is easy and secure to setup. Need Meal Assistance?
Please visit us on a distribution day. The NGCC is chartered to serve residents residing in the James A. Garfield school district. Our service area encompasses Garrettsville, Freedom, Nelson, and parts of Hiram Township.
Registering as a client is fast, easy and confidential. All you need to bring with you is your Driver's License or State ID Card, and a Utility Bill or Financial Statement in your name & address. (This information is used solely for verification of your residency when setting up your client record.)
