Chamber Awards

Recognizing greatness in our community!

Each year, the Garrettsville Area Chamber of Commerce recognizes notable individuals, organizations, and companies within our community. Use the form below to submit your nomination for one of the available categories. Awards will be presented at the Chamber of Commerce's Holiday Social event in December.

Nominations will be accepted through November 30th each year.

Award Categories

LIFETIME ACHIEVEMENT
An individual who is generally recognized as having made a significant contribution to the prosperity and the quality of life of the Garrettsville area. The individual is recognized as someone who has demonstrated over and beyond leadership and/or service in the Garrettsville Area over a period of several years. The individual should be seen as someone of high character and someone who would honorably represent the spirit of the award.

VOLUNTEER OF THE YEAR
An individual or group who goes above and beyond, exemplifying the true potential of how volunteers make a difference in the Garrettsville area.

CITIZEN OF THE YEAR
An individual, who in the spirit of community service, demonstrates exceptional leadership and initiative in their efforts to support the betterment of the Garrettsville area.

NEW CONSTRUCTION
Recognition for new construction of a building or public structure in the Garrettsville area. Construction must be completed in the same year the nomination is made.

NEW RENOVATION
Recognition for interior or exterior renovation of a building or public structure in the Garrettsville area. Renovation must be completed in the same year the nomination is made.

NEW BUSINESS
We believe that any and all businesses should be recognized and appreciated for making Garrettsville their home for their new business. This award will recognize any NEW businesses opened during the nominating year.

RETAILER/GROCER/RESTAURANT/SERVICE BUSINESS OF THE YEAR
Nominate your favorite businesses for one of these awards. 

The Rules

Nominations may be submitted by any individual, group or business residing, working, or doing business in the Garrettsville area. In order to win the awards, the individual must meet the following criteria:

  • Resides or works in the Garrettsville area.
  • Has not won the award in the previous year.
  • Is not currently on the selection committee for this award.
  • Nominations are accepted with the requested information below.
  • One nomination per application form may be submitted.
  • Applications must be received by November 30 for consideration.
